Frequently Asked Questions

Do you only have English Spirits?

Can Whisky Be Produced in England?

Yes, whisky can be produced in England. While Scotland is most commonly associated with whisky production, there are several distilleries in England that produce whisky.

English whisky is typically made using barley, water, and yeast, just like Scottish whisky. The production process is also similar, with the barley being malted, mashed, fermented, and distilled before being aged in oak barrels for a minimum of three years.

English whisky tends to have a different flavor profile than Scottish whisky, due to the different types of water and barley used, as well as variations in the production process. Some English whiskies have a distinct fruitiness, while others have a more floral or spicy character.

English whisky is becoming increasingly popular, with several distilleries opening in recent years, and more experimental and unique whiskies being produced. Some of the well-known English whisky brands include The Lakes Distillery, The English Whisky Co and The Cotswold Distillery.

Overall, while Scotland may be the most well-known whisky-producing region, England has a growing whisky industry and a variety of unique and delicious whiskies to discover.
